Abstract (EN)

Swiss curator Harald Szeemann, who developed his own way of expression, has held more than 150 exhibitions throughout his life. In the context of these exhibitions, he has highly contributed to the art history and exhibition techniques, besides become an owner of an extensive archive. As a result, Harald Szeemann's international exhibitions have created a new communication network in the context of artist, audience and curator triangle. Moreover, they have become a rich reference for many artists and curators from all around the world. Starting with the biography of Harald Szeemann, his selected exhibitions and his grand archive were examined in this thesis. In this context, Szeemann's professional and personal life were analyzed by prioritizing his special relationships with the artists.
