XVI. century divan poet Fedayi, his life, literal personality and comparative text of his divan

Fedâyî is a 16. c. Divan poet. According to the other poets in this century, his poems are in religious and didactic style. There is not much information about Fedâyfs life and his literatural personality. In terms of the materials in the history of literature we tried to add some information about his life and literatural personality with the help of his poems. It has been known that the Divan was only one copy up to now. We have found the second copy at the end of our serious and researches. Most of the 16. c. Divans are texts without mark (hareke). The mentioned Divan's both copies are marked (harekeli). We believed that it would be also useful to the language studies in terms of the words' punctuation. Its Divan is rich in terms of both religious materials and Bahr-i Tavil and Falname types. Different types of poems are in Fedâyî Divan, however it is possible to find important materials in historical development line in the poems. We have also corrected some mistakes in the sources about Fedâyî. For example; in Istanbul Hand-written Divans Catalogue written copy is mentioned as Millet Library, but in fact it is Süleymaniye Library. In Necip Fazil Duru's book called as Mevleviyâne, some poems, which are about Mevlânâ and Mevlevism, are expressed as Fedâyfs poems. In fact, in the mentioned book the "gazel* is Burdurlu Fedâyfs poem, and "Murabba" in the book is Edirneli Fedâyfs poems. This case is illimunated with our examined Divan. We contributed to our literature about Fedâyî, his life, his literal personality and a sound text of his Divan.
