The Problem of education policy and a new approcht in language teaching

ABSTRACT THE PROBLEM OF EDUCATION POLICY AND A NEW APPROCHT IN LANGUAGE TEACHING The need for any foreign language is increasing due to the computer era, globalism and universalism of the 20. centruy. Only one condition, namely; speaking a language, can one easily reach and get information from internet an literaty issues. That a foreign language is so crucial prerequisites the development of certain strategies, the definition of certain goals and development of cirruculum accordingly. In language teaching the relationship between student and teacher, the objective, methodology, the application of technological development, the milieu, the improvement of new teaching models and their investigation are vitally necessary. The definition of language teaching problems is rather difficult in countries which is far away from the target language family such as it is the case in Turkey. In other words, since Turkish and German belong to different language families teaching problems arise much more than ever. In the teaching of German, the political attitude towards German, determined objectives and language teaching cirruculum and methodology, teaching materials and other requirements constitudes the basis in attempt to solve the current problems. ivIn this study a new teaching model of German has been presented to the eight year education in the light of above evaluation by means of filtering and taking account of what has been determined. It is supposed that the teaching and learning of German will be achieved appropriately and German can be transferred to the real life situations properly.
