Examination of learning profiles for Turkish leaners as a foreign language

The aim of this thesis, study is to examine in detail the language learning profiles of those who learn Turkish as a foreign language. In this context, the relations between the demographic characteristics of the students and their language learning profiles were examined within the scope of the lecturers' feedbacks and the students' opinions. Necessary data for the study were collected with demographic information form, Foreign Language Learning Scale and interview questionnaire. The obtained data were then subjected to data analysis. Statistical analyzes Excel was analyzed using qualitative analysis method in the answers given to the interview. A total of 354 students and 27 lecturers were included in the study. It was determined that female students were 196 and male students were 158. In addition, the Turkish language levels of the students participating in the study are mostly at the C1 level. A small number of students are at A1, B1 and B2 levels. The learning methods of the students are preferred by an equal number of students both inside and outside the classroom. It has been obtained those students are open to responsibility, emotional balance and experience. It has been determined that the students are generally hardworking, knowing their duty and working more harmoniously. Students focus on purpose in the classroom. It was determined that the students were mostly extroverted, harmonious and balanced in their emotions. The results showed that there is a strong relationship between the language profiles of the students in terms of gender.
