Discourse analysis of news about Turkish as a foreign language teaching: A case study

In this study, discourses in the news regarding Turkish as a foreign language teaching and structures forming the discourse are investigated. In this sense, the news found in the internet were classified in accordance with discourse structures and were analyzed thorough critical discourse analysis. In the theoretical part of thesis, apart from the information explaining discourse-based titles in order to make the discourse structures analyzed in the treatment understandable, explanatory information about Turkish teaching and media are given and thereby enabling to give insights about the treatment way in the thesis and having idea with analyzed news. In the treatment and analysis part, the news categorized before are analyzed with examples taken from the news and obtained findings are evaluated in the conclusion part and given with suggestions for future research.
