Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of zeolite, nutshell and pumice were investigated on heat isolation by adding this materials into water based paints. Hydrophobic materials were added to paint content at the rate of 0.3% in terms of water based paint (w/w). This materials were formed to the 200 µm by crushers and grinders. Pumice, zeolite and nutshell was added to water-based paints at the rate of 0-6% in terms of water based paint (w/w) in different rates. Taguchi Method was used in experiments. Samples were prepared according to Taguchi L-9 orthogonal array by choosing three parameters and three levels. Total ten paint samples, including nine different rates of paints and maximum nutshell, were prepared and and tested. The samples prepared were applied on 26x26cm2 specially prepared aluminium plates. These plates's thermal conductivity coefficients were taken at thermal conductivity device that specially designed. The results of thermal conductivity measurement, the percent rates of insulation have been found at 10 different experiments. The optimum insulation rate was observed as 23.20%.
