Abstract (EN)

This study examined Stone monumments from the Byzantine period in Yalvaç Museum. Working within the scope of work were assessed a total of 116 stone. Some of these works were published previously by different researchers. However, there has not been a study that examined the museum of Byzantine-style architecture of the entire plastics.Works of the museum examined the stone column capital, column and column base, architraves, slab, double column, archivolt, templo column capital, templo column, templo monolithic column with capital, ambo balcony and staircase slab, lintel, are examples of architectural sculpture such as static and liturgical function. These works of art decorative motifs, styles, decorative techniques, taking into account the material properties and composition were evaluated, documented in detail.Different types of architectural sculptures in the museum, where a part of the provenance, or believed to be brought to the museum. The rest of the Stone is one of the objects in a different color and quality on the marble bas-relief, high relief or scraping technique, floral motifs, goemetric patterns, cross and the various symbols and figures were created using a different decorative compositions.This study examined the scope of these examples of architectural sculpture, Anatolie, İstanbul, Greece and dated in comparison to samples similar those found museums abroad, tried to determine the place and importance in Byzantine Art.
