Choosing structure inspection organization with AHP and TOPSIS multi-criteria decision-making methods

Control of construction projects both desingn and building stages by the technical staff has grate importance. Manufacturing quality, suitability of technical specifications and accuracy of applications need to be carefully checked and recorded. All building projects within the scope of Building Inspection Organization Law in Turkey are subjected to strict controls. Construction companies must make arrangements with the Building Inspection Organizations, which will supervise them to begin the design phase of their project.In this point selection of the correct Inspection Company is very important. In this thesis selection of the best company is done for the Mass Housing Project to be carried out in Sakarya Province which is in the first degree dangerious earthquake region. Comparing 5candidate building inspection companies with 4 main criteria and 11 subcriteria to get the solution, one of the Multi Criteria Decision Making Methodhad to be used.At the beginning of application AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) Method is used to determine the weight of the criteria to use in TOPSIS method.
