Investigation of information technology teachers' opninons on the artificial intelligence applications course curriculum

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technologies is causing radical changes in human life and bringing about various transformations in critical areas such as education. The fact that education is affected by these new technologies requires both diversifying teaching methods and equipping students with the skills required by the age. The purpose of this research is to explore in depth the opinions of computer science teachers regarding the curriculum of the course "Artificial Intelligence Applications", which has been newly added to the elective course pool of 7th and 8th grade students. The research, a case study, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The data of the research was analyzed using the content analysis method. The research was conducted with the participation of ten computer science teachers. The findings are collected under the themes of infrastructure problems, educational content, educational stakeholders, and ethical issues. The integration of artificial intelligence in educational processes requires the development of innovative curricula adapted to the needs of students by restructuring learning experiences. It is expected that this research will contribute to artificial intelligence curriculum developers, practitioners, and future research.
