Text-based hate speech detection using artificial intelligence methods

The scientific study of hate speech in the field of forensics is an emerging field. This field has unquestionable potential for social impact, especially as online communities and digital media platforms increase. In this context, it is a crucial step in advancing the automatic detection of hate speech. The definition of hate speech is made and the studies to determine whether the relevant text to be issued in line with this definition contains hate speech or not has been examined. The categories used while detecting hate speech are explained, and the stages of detection are given. Studies in the literature were examined and compared. Accuracy rates differ depending on the feature extraction method, classification method, and dataset used.
