Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to determine the effect of five foliar exogenous applications (glycinebetaine, proline, salicylic acid, silicon and cytokinin) on grain yield and yield components of two maize cultivas under Çukurova region conditions in Çukurova conditions. Field experiment were conducted in 2017 and 2018 growing seasons in the field at the Faculty of Agricultural Experiment Farm, Univercity of Çukurova. The effect of exogenous applications was influenced by year. Significant positive correlations were observed between grain yield and grain weight (r = 0.941**) by proline application and also between grain yield and number of grains m-2 (r = 0.834*) and (r = 0.964**), respectively by silicon and cytokinin applications in 2017. Strong positive correlations were observed between grain yield and grain weight (r = 0.848**) by silicon application and also between grain yield and number of grains m-2 (r = 0.838*) by glycinebetaine application in 2018.
