Abstract (EN)

In this study, the performances of adhesively (Akfix E300, Devcon A, Erde GTR) bonded tapered joints under torsion momentum effect were numerically examined. In numerical analyses, ANSYS 14.5 package software was utilized. In this study, two different adhesive thicknesses 0.2 mm and 0.3 mm and 3 different cone vertex angles 2°51', 5°43' and 11°25' were employed, and the modeled joints were compared to the tapered joints without any adhesive. Von Mises stress (σeş), τxz and τyz shear stress values of the models under torsion momentum effect, which occurred alongside A-B and C-D directions, were determined. The section rotations were calculated in number, and then compared to each other. As a result of the analyses, it was observed that all of the stress values of non-adhesive joints were higher than the adhesively bonded joints. Increasing thickness of adhesives decreased the stress distribution. In all of the joints, it was determined that the increase in cones' vertex angles decreased the stress levels. When the effects of cones' vertex angle on the section rotation values are examined, the highest rotation angle among all of the joints was observed in joints having 2°51' of vertex angle. It was also determined that the joints bonded utilizing Erde GTR adhesive having the lowest slip modulus had lower stress levels than other 2 adhesive joints had.
