Abstract (EN)
The integration of multiple RF structures on a single module has gained significant attention as a means to minimize transmission losses and conserve space. Filtennas have emerged as an optimum solution combining filter and antenna structures within a unified module. In this thesis, a filtenna design was developed utilizing the cascading method with a center frequency of 5 GHz and a bandwidth of 636 MHz. On the filter side, a second-order Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) filter design was made. The design was further improved by incorporating slots that passed over the resonators. On the antenna side, a directional antenna design was implemented with broadband characteristics, high gain and linear polarization which was achieved using the Mushroom-Like Metamaterial structures. Finally, these two components were integrated to complete the filtenna design.
