Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research was to determine effects of different application time of the same amount of nitrogen on physical (1000 kernel weight and test weight) and chemical properties (protein ratio, semolina color, gluten and gluten index) and germination of durum wheat cultivar Svevo and it was carried out under experimental field of Akdeniz University, Faculty of Agriculture during 2018-2019 season. Experimental design was Randomised Complete Block with three replications. N3 application had the highest 1000 kernel and test weights with 70.6 g and 82.9 kg/l, respectively and there were statistically significant difference among applications for these two physical components. Seed germination was not statistically affected by these treatments but they significantly affected mainly semolina color and protein ratio and gluten qualities. N6 application had the highest protein ratio (19.4%) and gluten index (94.6) while N5 had the highest SDS sedimentation (17.7 ml) and gluten ratio (57.8%).
