Abstract (EN)

purpose of this research was to investigate relationships between leisure boredom and dispositional flow in hang gliding pilots. Sample group of the research consist of 314 ( female 59 =26.47 sd= 4.12 years; male 255 = 30.98 sd= 6.80) hang-gliding pilots from different categories (beginning, intermediate, pilot, experienced, instructor). Data collection tool for the research has 3 parts. In the first part, there are some personal questions supplied for defining the demographic characteristics of individuals. In the second part, The Leisure Boredom Scale (BZSA) and In the last part, The Dispositional Flow Scale Sort Form (DFS-2) is used. To evaluate the results, Mann Whitney U with descriptive statistics, Kruskal Wallis and Post-hoc Bonferonni tests are used. On the other hand, for determining the correlation between leisure boredom and dispositional flow, the Spearman-Brown Correlation Test is used. As a result of analysis significant differences were in terms of flow experience according to gender, age, live pilot and income, participant level and frequency, educational status, institutional variables (p<.05); significant differences were in terms of leisure boredom according to gender, age, live pilot and income, participant level and frequency, educational status, institutional variables (p<.05). According to correlation analysis, it is determined that there is a weak positive-negative correlation between leisure boredom levels and flow experience (scale average r: .219, embarrassment r: .233, p<.05; satisfaction r: -.122, p<.05). Keywords: Leisure, adventure recreation, leisure boredom, dispositional flow, hang-gliding.
