The synthesis of new 3,3?-dibenzoyl-1,1?-(alkyl/aryl)dithioureas and investigation of their structure by spectroscopic methods

In this study, benzoylisothiocyanate product (C6H5CONCS) was synthesized from the reaction of potassiumisothiocyanate (KSCN) with benzoylchloride (C6H5COCl) in aprotic solvent. The synthesized benzoylisothiocyanate reacted separateli with symmetrical diamin such as 1,3-diaminopropane, 1,4-diaminobutane, piperazine, 4,4?-diaminodiphenylether and 4,4?-aminodiphenylmethane and yielded new 3,3?-dibenzoyl-1,1?-(alkyl/aryl)dithioureas. Their structures were determined using methods. The synthesized compounds are:3,3?-Dibenzoyl-1,1?-(propa-1,3-diyl)dithiourea3,3?-Dibenzoyl-1,1?-(buta-1,4-diyl)dithiourea3,3?-Dibenzoyl-1,1?-(piperazine)dithiourea3,3?-Dibenzoyl-1,1?-(diphenylether-4,4?-diyl)dithiourea3,3?-Dibenzoyl-1,1?-(diphenylmethan-4,4?-diyl)dithioureaCompounds of physical parameters (melting point, solubility?etc) were examined and structure of these compounds were determined with FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and mass(MS) spectral data.Keywords: Dithiourea, benzoylisothiocyanate, 1,3-diaminopropane, 1,4-diaminobutane, piperazine, 4,4?-diaminodiphenylether, 4,4?-diaminodiphenylmethane.
