Abstract (EN)
The main aim of the present study is to fabricate new organic batteries using p-type organic semiconductors such as PANI, CuPC and Pentacene and n-type semiconductor such as PTCDA. For this, bulk and nanostructure polyaniline, PTCDA, CuPC and Pentacene based composites have been synthesized using various black carbon contents to obtain high performance batteries. The structural properties of polymer and composites have been analyzed using XRD, FTIR, UV-Vis, DTA/TGA techniques. The used active electrode, electrolyte, currents electrodes for p-n organic battery are respectively p-type and n-type organic semiconductors, copper chloride and Al-Cu metal electrodes. Polyaniline, PTCDA, CuPC and Pentacene organic semiconductors have been doped with the black carbon to improve electrical and optical properties of organic semiconductors. The prepared p-n organic batteries have been analyzed by current-voltage characteristics and discharge characteristics. Al/Nanostructure polyaniline-PTCDA/Cu battery gives the highest open circuit voltage, 1.0V and short circuit current, 32.4 mA in the all batteries due to nanostructure and high electrical conductivity. The obtained results indicate that the electrical performance of studied p-n organic battery can be improved using various organic semiconductors and electrolytes and these type batteries can be used in low power energy applications.
