Vocabulary capacity and difficulty level of texts in turkish textbooks of new Turkish education curriculum meb 6.th class

Textbooks of Turkish courses are the main materials for teaching Turkish language. Most of the students are learning the new Turkish vocabulary by Turkish textbooks. So, text of textbooks are very important for the students enrich their vocabulary capacity. Due to this, the text is very important.Our study investigates the vocabulary capacity of MEB 6.th class Turkish textbooks. ?What kind of features does the texts, existent in Turkish textbooks of new Turkish Education Curriculum MEB 6.th class, in terms of vocabulary capacity?? This is the problem topic that leads this study.In the first section, the description of the language, the importance of the textbooks and text for the language learning, the description of the vocabulary capacity, the importance of the vocabulary capacity, vocabulary capacity according to Turkish language curriculum, techniques and methods for improving the vocabulary capacity, the state of the problem, purpose of the research, importance of the research, the problem sentence, limitations, assumptions, universe, sampling are mentioned.In the second section, research related with the vocabulary capacity are mentioned.In the third section, displays the methods of the research, the findings and the evaluations.In the fourd section, presents the results of our research and the suggestions.This research is based on the Turkish textbooks published by MEB for 6.th class (in 2006) of elementary education.
