Abstract (EN)
In this study, a new plate heat exchanger was designed and, Al2O3 / water, CuO / water nanofluids and water were used as work fluid. Thus, the shape effect created by the springs placed in different geometries in the heat exchanger and the heat transfer has been increased with the nanofluids used. The effects of the geometric parameters of the new type plate heat exchanger, nanofluid concentration ratio and flow rate on heat transfer and pressure drop were investigated experimentally. The experimental setup set up consisted of two cycles to be hot nanofluidic and cold water. The nano-fluid heated in the temperaturecontrolled tank was cooled with the help of water in a new type plate heat exchanger, and the thermal efficiency and hydraulic performance of the heat exchanger were measured by examining the heat transfer and pressure drops that occur at that time. Different geometries, flow rates, concentration ratios, different nanofluids are the parameters studied. The obtained heat transfer and pressure drop results were compared and the results were interpreted, and the geometry, nanofluidic concentration ratio and flow rate that will ensure efficient heat transfer were determined.
