Abstract (EN)
Importance of capacity planning is increasing day to day due to failure in just in time production and idle capacities. Especially, in the health sector, capacity planning gets more important; because of short interference time and suitable equipment at the required time. Accepting all patient demands at maximum level with cost-benefit analysis by capacity planning will increase Human Development Index ( HDI ) of the country.The aim of this newly proposed method is optimising equipment requirements in newborn units at health centers; related to admission rates, capacity usages and waiting times. The results show that the proposed method will be useful both the present and proposed system.Real life values from a newborn unit are used for testing validity of simulation, response surface methodology (regression design) and mathematical modelling tests. A new approach which is useful to plan equipment capacity for Health Center administration is developed.
