Abstract (EN)

This study, is carried out mid-term in order to determine the level of knowledge on the appropriate temperature for neonatal intensive care certificates in preterm births and the degree of training provided. The research was registered with officials working at Cengiz Gökçek Maternity and Children's Hospital and SANKO University NICU in Gaziantep between January 1, 2023 and December 30, 2023. Data were collected by the face-to-face interview method with data collection tools at Cengiz Gökçek Maternity and Children's Hospital and SANKO University Hospital, after obtaining ethics committee and institutional permissions. At the same time, the data were evaluated with the statistical program SPSS 24.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences for Windows). Developing answers to research results regarding affordable services; it was determined that 73,2% of the officials received training on appropriate positioning, 17,9% of them were trained in the appropriate positioning area 1 year ago, and 66,1% stated that their production of information on appropriate positioning was moderate. However, for the benefit of the situation prone to premature babies, 71,4% of the pictures are given correct answers in the 1st evaluation, 92,9% in the 2nd evaluation and 87,5% in the 3rd evaluation; on the other hand, 23,2% of the officials responded correctly to the proposal of the American Academy of Pediatrics (APA) in the 1st evaluation, 94,6% in the 2nd evaluation and 76,8% in the 3rd evaluation; roles that increase sleep periods: 53,6% of the pictures are given correct roles in the 1st evaluation, 85,7% in the 2nd evaluation and 62,5% in the 3rd evaluation; The purpose of the position management of officials is that 44,6% of them worked the four lines in the first evaluation, 76,8% in the second evaluation and 76,8% in the third evaluation. The Newborn position assessment tool first evaluation mean score is 9.07 ± 2.57, the second evaluation mean score is 11.62 ± 0.96, and the third evaluation mean score is 11.23 ± 2.312. Based on these innovations, officials working in the NICU need to increase their knowledge about maintaining appropriate positions that can be applied to premature newborns.
