European Union comparison in terms of renewable energy sources and Turkey's future energy vision

Energy is one of the most important things a country needs. In order to meet the increasing demand for energy day by day, resources must be sustainable. Countries can sometimes import resources to meet their own needs. Based on these statements, fossil fuels are used to meet the need for electricity. Considering that today's energy resources will run out one day, we need to look for alternative resources. This is where the trend towards renewable energy sources emerges. When we look at the world in general, we are one of the leading countries with these resources. The potential we have should be turned into a national policy and the steps to be taken should be planned at a good level so that the needs can be met by preventing foreign dependency on energy. Our country has taken steps in terms of renewable resources and has made beginnings in solar and wind energy by considering the costs. In this study, why we should turn to renewable energy sources is examined in detail. In addition, the definition of what these resources are is made and the question of what situation our country is in this regard is answered. International practices have begun with the steps taken in the world and the joint conferences and implementation of many agreements in this context. The challenges and negative aspects of renewable energy have been revealed. In order to be compatible with the environment, the steps to be taken must be taken in this manner. The future energy vision of our country is touched upon and current and ongoing studies are included.
