Abstract (EN)

Energy; plays an important role in economic, social, technological and environmental conditions. Fossil fuels are mainly used to meet energy needs. However, fossil fuel reserves are limited and unevenly distributed. In addition, these fuels threaten the ecological balance. Therefore, the use of alternative energy sources becomes inevitable. On the other hand, there are different approaches to the effect of renewable energy consumption on economic growth. Renewable energy has come to the fore in order to meet the rapidly increasing energy needs of the society in a reliable, uninterrupted and healthy way. With the development of technological innovations, efficient, low-cost and continuous production can be made by using renewable energy. In addition, renewable energy makes an important contribution to today's national economy. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of renewable energy on the Turkish economy, while investigating its effect on production strategies. In our research, renewable energy has been examined as well as conventional energy from prehistory to the present. For this, by examining the potential of renewable resources, Turkey's general energy situation, the effect of renewable energy on production and sustainability are examined.
