Abstract (EN)

Boron analysis was conducted on the well water from a depth of 173 meters in İzmir, Dikili, İsmetpaşa neighborhood, which was received by the SM Water Analysis Laboratory, a partner in our thesis study, and adsorption experiments were carried out on this sample. It was learned that there are hot water transitions in the region where the sample was taken, and as a result of the analysis, the boron concentration was determined to be 2.6 mg/L. Since the use of such waters for irrigation and/or drinking-domestic water purposes could be dangerous, it was treated with natural zeolite, a natural adsorbent. Experiments were conducted to evaluate the parameters affecting adsorption performance, including contact time, pH, temperature, and adsorbent amount. The optimal conditions were observed to be 120 minutes, pH 4-6, 35°C, and 1.0 mg
