Abstract (EN)

The characteristics of the shear modulus and damping ratio curves of soils depend on many factors. Some of these factors can be stated as soil plasticity index, void ratio, confining pressure. It is often costly and laborious to determine the shear modulus curves and damping ratio curves with experimental studies, so empirical and correlation methods are mostly preferred to determine the shear modulus curves and damping ratio curves. One of the important studied subjects in the geotechnical engineering is estimation and prediction of shear modulus curves and damping ratio curves based on according to soil and stress condition. In this study, estimation of shear modulus curves and damping ratio curves were made depending on parameters such as plasticity index, void ratio of soils and confining pressure. For this purpose, test results in the literature which are open access were used in establishment of relationships. The test results were extracted from the experimental studies in the literature, then they were arranged according to soil properties and stress conditions (confining pressure). In the last of the studied, suggestions were made about estimation of shear modulus curves and damping ratio curves according to soil properties and stress conditions (confining pressure).
