Abstract (EN)

Considering that Turkey is under the influence of important active faults in the world, the issue of earthquake-resistant structure design becomes even more important to reduce the loss of life and property after an earthquake. Design Spectra defined in earthquake regulations are used to determine the earthquake forces that will come to a structure or a spectrum obtained by field-specific seismic hazard analysis for projects that require more specific work. Determining the ground motion parameter by seismic hazard analysis the selection of ground motion prediction equations is an important process. An important problem will be solved if the prediction equations that is compatible with the project area can be determined in advance. In our country, in recent years, the increase in the number of strong ground movement stations and the number and quality of recorded acceleration data is an important source of research to predict seismic hazard. In this study, the compatibility of local prediction equations developed for Turkey with ground movement records of earthquakes in the Aegean region was studied. During the examination distance, earthquake magnitude and impact of local ground conditions were also taken into account and the results were discussed statistically.
