Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the impact of green airport practices on employees' organizational commitment, as well as the potential mediating role of green organizational behavior in this relationship. Today, environmental sustainability has become a priority both operationally and strategically in the aviation sector. Within the scope of green airport practices, many eco-friendly approaches such as energy efficiency, waste management, and reduction of carbon emissions are adopted. When employees observe that their organization embraces environmental responsibility, they tend to evaluate this positively and consequently increase their commitment to the organization. In this study, a survey was conducted with employees working at airports. Data collected from 111 participants were analyzed using SPSS 22 for descriptive statistics and SmartPLS 4.1.1.2 for predictive and mediation analyses. The results revealed that green airport practices have a significant and positive effect on employees' organizational commitment, and that green organizational behavior plays a mediating role in this relationship. The findings indicate that sustainability practices in the aviation sector have not only environmental benefits but also positive impacts on human resource processes. In this regard, it is recommended that managers consider strategies that enhance employee experience and commitment while developing environmental policies.
