Yıldız Technical University (Yıldız Palace) a research on çukur palace building`s preservation and restoration

Ottoman Empires' s last complex is Yıldız Palace and it has more important values about protect concept because of formation process and more using. Çukur Palace is in second courtyard of this complex. It's construction time has confirmed in period of Ü-Abdülhamit, even nobody doesn't have any knowledge about it's construction time. This building is a part of Yıldız Technical University. Çukur Palace is this thesis's main subject. In first chapter, working contents, following methods and result of searching was given. Searching of other palaces' s construction time which was built at the same period of Yıldız Palace, and it's situation in settlement place of Istanbul are necessary for utilizing of Çukur Palace's concept, architectural quality, situation of today and it's problems. That's why, Ottoman Empires's socio-cultural and economical changes in 19.yy. and thins changing's effects in settlement of Istanbul was analized in chapter two. Lastly, other palace in Istanbul was explored. In the third part of thesis, historical formation of Yıldız Palace was analized and it was seperated many subtitles. In fourth chapter, location of Çukur Palace in yıldız Palace and architectural features was explored. Analyzing of situation of today was searched using of qualitative and quantitative methods. According to documents which was appeared to research literature of this building, chronogically analyze and restitution projects were prepared. Today's situation of Çukur Palace was utilized and suggested to restoration project using by searching results. Utilizing of thesis was done in the last chapter.
