Abstract (EN)
Aim: Due to critical patient care and monitoring in intensive care units, interdisciplinary Investigation of all the reasons that may cause medical error tendency of the study of reliable health is important for service delivery. The main aim of this study is to analyze intensive care nurses' alarm to determine the levels of fatigue, the effect of this fatigue on the tendency to make medical errors and to determine the mediating role of workload in the relationship between the two concepts. Material and Method: The study sample consisted of 250 nurses working in level 1, level 2, and level 3 intensive care units of hospitals affiliated with the Ordu Provincial Health Directorate under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey. In addition to the personal information form, the "Alarm Fatigue Scale in Nurses" was used in the study, the 'Medical Error Tendency Scale in Nurses' and the 'Workload Scale' were used. After the data's validity and reliability were verified, the SPSS program was used for the analyses and the AMOS package program was used. To test the hypotheses of the research SPSS Macro model 4 was used. The analyses were tested at 95% confidence interval. Results: In the intensive care unit picture, the increase in alarm endurance level caused work loss to increase by 33% and treatment error endurance to increase by 9%. The increase in workload resulted in a 9% increase in medical error reporting by officials. In addition, the additive effect occurred at a rate of 11%. A positive correlation was observed between the variables of workload, alarm fatigue, and tendency to medical errors, and this relationship was found to be statistically significant Conclusions: This research is critical intensive care nurses responsible for patient care may lead to medical error tendencies It will help us to understand the factors better and to develop effective strategies.
