Abstract (EN)
Freight and human carrying within the transportation activities by mostly higways leads to a traffic density in our country. Accordingly, traffic accidents occur due to various reasons. It is seen that accidents caused by roads remained well below the European countries when analyzing the reasons of accidents. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate new methods for the determination of the traffic accidents which are caused by roads. In this study, location data and acceleration values which was simultaneously determined in a selected road route, the effects of lateral accelaration caused by centrifugal force which affects road comfort in curves were analyzed in surveyed sections.
