Analyzing of entrepreneurship traits in managers according to their leadership styles: An investigation in tourism sector

In this study, the relationship between the leadership styles and entrepreneurship traits has been investigated by defining management styles and entrepreneurship traits.In the first section, management and leadership concept and leadership styles have been studied in detail in a theoretical frame. The second section covers a study which is based on entrepreneurship concept and entrepreneurship traits. In the third section, the relationship between the leadership types and entrepreneurship traits of managers has been studied by compiling the literature about the subject and a research has been made on managers of tourism enterprises in Antalya, which has an important place in tourism sector. In this study, data gathered from a survey made with 292 managers have been analyzed.As a result, a difference has been found in managers? entrepreneurship traits according to their leadership styles. Entrepreneurship traits in managers who adopt democratic leadership styles are higher than other leadership styles. Entrepreneurship traits in managers who adopt autocratic leadership style are higher than the laissez faire leaders who allow full freedom.
