Abstract (EN)

This research was conducted to determine the most proper mixture ratio of common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) and fodder pea (Pisum sativum L.) with barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) and oat (Avena sativa L.) for forage production under Çekerek ecological conditions (Yozgat-Turkey) during the 2012 and 2013 growing seasons. One cultivar from each species; fodder pea (Taşkent), common vetch (Alınoglu-2001), oat (Checota) and barley ( Karatay-94) were used as a plant material The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized block design with three replications. The plants were grown as a binary mixtures with diffrent seed ratio besides to alones The significant differences were detrmined among cropping treatments in terms of hay yield, crude protein ratio, crude protein yield, ADF, NDF, ratio of Calcium, Potassium, Posphorus and Magnesium According to two years results mean hay yield, crude protein ratio, crude protein yield, ADF, NDF, Calcium, Potassium, Posphorus and Magnesium content were 330.2 kg/da, % 17.57, 58.7 kg/da, % 30.53, % 52.09, % 1.13, % 2.09, % 0.33 and % 0.27, respectively.Considering the hay yield, crude protein yield and other data, 30% oat : 70% fodder peas and 40% barley:60% fodder pea mixtures exhibited higher results, in our conditions. Key words: Intercropping, fodder pea, oat, ADF, NDF
