Abstract (EN)

The iron and steel industry are one of the important steels and steel production sectors in many areas of the world. It goes through the final product stage to be obtained in the iron and steel industry and high amounts of energy are consumed during production. Against this energy spent for the production of the final product, many products are produced in the sector during production. These by-products, which are returned as output, make a positive contribution to the cost. During production in an integrated iron and steel factory, by-products such as blast furnace gas, coke oven gas, blast furnace slag, steel mill slag are recovered. In terms of chemical structure, it is suitable for the blast furnace industry and the resulting slag is used in the industry. The blast furnace slag is obtained by separating blast furnace slag from liquid crude iron, which is the final product of blast furnaces. The by-product blast furnace slag is brought to the desired particle size by aqueous granulation. In the sector, the granulation process of blast furnace slag is water treated, but in addition to this method, research is carried out in dry slag granulation. In this thesis study, the granulation style of blast furnace slag, the analysis of the blast furnace slag obtained by aqueous granulation, the amount of waste heat energy and the studies conducted with the waste heat recovery of the dry granulation technique were examined. In addition to these, articles on dry granulation method and dry granulation information were reviewed.
