Abstract (EN)

The 6101 Series aluminum alloys are now widely used in the transmission of electrical energy. Aluminum (Al) has significant advantages over other conductors in terms of strength and conductivity, the most important quality values of electrical energy transmission. In high voltage overhead lines in almost all parts of the world, the power transmission is provided by Al wire. The main raw materials of 6101 series aluminum alloys used in high voltage overhead lines are magnesium (Mg) and silicon (Si). In view of the disadvantages of conventional conductors in the world, the mixing ratios and casting parameters of the 6101 series aluminum alloys which are considered as alternative are still not clearly determined. This study was conducted in order to determine the optimum values of alloy ratios in the wide range of standards and to investigate the effect of alloy ratios on strength and conductivity. In the study, the effect of Magnesium(Mg), Silicon(Si), Iron(Fe), Copper(Cu), Titanium(Ti), Boron(B) amounts on the conductivity and strength of the 6101 series aluminum alloy conductor were investigated and the input values of Mg, Si, Cu, Fe, Ti, B were calculated to maximize the conductivity and strength values. In the study, 6101 series aluminum alloy conductor data produced in a conductor company located in Osmaniye city were taken into consideration.
