A sample application about measuring education service quality for higher education system

To supply qualified manpower that is necessary in education sector, ?quality of education? is one of the most important factors in higher education institutions. In this study, expectations on university education and level of satisfaction of the students that are the most important customers of higher education institutions have been researched. In the research, have been used SERVQUAL which is one of the educational service quality measurement model to measure service quality in higher education institutions. By using this model, the level of meeting the expectations of students about education served by higher education institutions has been measured and important aspects of service quality according to students have been showed. The results of this study that is focused on educational service quality show that the students have a very low level of satisfaction about their education. Higher education institutions should aim to achieve an increased quality of service and higher level of satisfaction of students. To be able to achieve this target, the way of understanding of management is important. The implementation of Total Quality Management and like the other approaches that are developing service quality in higher education institutions and continuous efforts at management level will result in increased quality of service. The efforts on increasing the quality of education in higher education institutions will result in the increase of the quality of education and also increase quality of service in sectors that student will have been working. Observed from the analysises on data that have been derived from the study, students which have higher education, their sense of educational service quality has been acquired a different character to some demographical properties. And also have been arised that the level of service quality of higher education institutions have been charged according to same measure of values.
