Abstract (EN)

Before making my entry to the main subject of this study, Hellenistic Era, the civilizations that initiated Greek Civilization's development are shortly discussed. Later on, Greek Civilization's stages of development are examined and a basis is provided to come to the point by examining the clothes that were used at wars, art and philophical devlopment. The birth of Alexander the Great, the founder of the Hellenistic Era, wars he has made and cultural mergers formed as a result of these wars, his death, and contributions of the Hellenistic kings he left behind was examined in detail. Hellenistic art, science, architecture and philosophical ideas which have emerged with the synthesis of many cultures were included and better understanding of this era was aimed. The clothing of the Hellenistic Era that was born with the aim of meeting the covering needs of the first people and which continued its life as being more than the necessities of today was explained, and the accessories used were included. The effects of all these clothes and accessories on today's textile and fashion were examined and the collections prepared which were influenced by the clothing culture of Helen were included.
