Abstract (EN)
Greece, located on the European Continent, is a country with many islands. Most of the country is mountainous and rugged. The country has a temperate climate zone and the Ionian Sea is located in the west and the Aegean Sea is located in the east. The capital of the country, which has been home to civilizations for centuries, is Athens. The islands in Greece are grouped into 5 groups. These are: Bosphorus Islands, Saruhan Islands, Menteşe Islands, North Sporat Islands, Cyclat Islands. The urban population rate of the country, which has a total population of 10.3 million, is at the level of 80%. Mining is carried out in the country, which is rich in the diversity of underground resources, especially on the islands. The geographical location of the country and the cultural heritage it has attract thousands of tourists to the country every year. Turkey and Greece have also experienced many problems with the effect of being neighbors. The main ones of these problems are: the Minority Problem, the Aegean Problem, the Cyprus Problem and the Eastern Mediterranean Problem, which is still ongoing today. Minority Problem: It covers the problems caused by the causes and consequences of the exchange of Turks living in Greece and Greeks living in Turkey. Aegean Problems: The Territorial Waters Problem, the Continental Shelf Problem, the Airspace FIR Line Problems and the Problem of Non-Ceded Islands, Islets and Cliffs are dealt with as. Cyprus Problem: Greece has subjected the Turks on the island to threats and pressure by establishing a number of harmful formations claiming that the entire island belongs to the Greeks. Turkey, which defends the rights of the Turks in Cyprus against this situation, has come face to face with Greece. Eastern Mediterranean Problem: Greece does not want Turkey to benefit from the natural gas and oil resources that have been extracted and will be extracted in the region, so it wants to isolate Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean with the steps it has taken. After mentioning the geography of Greece in this study, the problems experienced between Turkey and Greece were analyzed and Deciphered by looking at them from different perspectives
