Abstract (EN)
In this study, circuit structures, principles of inverters, pulse width modulation and types of pulse width modulation in the literature is examined. A power converter known as Z source inverter is studied which is thougth to overcome the problems originating from traditional current and voltage source inverters. Therefore the circuit structure, working principle, equivalent circuit, analysis, output voltage and control techniques of the Z source inverters are studied. In this thesis, simulation models of voltage source inverter and Z source inverter are given. Simulations are made using Matlab/Simulink simulation program. The results are given and compared under the same working conditions.
