Abstract (EN)

In geotechnical engineering, physical, dimensional and structural index properties of soils constitute one of the most important design steps of an ongoing geotechnical study. These basic properties of soils can be determined as a result of certain geotechnical laboratory / in-situ tests. In addition to carrying out the experiments carried out in this context in accordance with the norms to which it is based, it is also important to carry out mathematical calculations of these experiments in an error-free and flexible manner. Considering the number of experiments, the multi-step data retrieval process of some experiments and the accessibility of the test evaluation method, a comprehensive study on this subject was deemed necessary. In this thesis; a virtual geotechnical engineering software which is a web-based application has been developed based on the experiments (unit volume weight, moisture content, specific gravity, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, hydrometer test, compaction test, sand cone test, soil classification) used to determine the properties of soil index were programmed with C#, JavaScript, HTML programming languages under the ASP.NET Core cross-platform framework. All input data in the experiments included in the software and some output outputs were compiled through Entity Framework Core and migrated to a remote SQL database created in Azure cloud platform service. Thus, end-users are offered two different usage options depending on their preferences by communicating with an internet browser or compiling a limited number of data on the local servers. The validation of the software was provided by using experimental data in the literature. Consequently, a permanent solution is provided with this software which is developed against the loss of all input-output data of experiments in a possible problem and needing disk storage space on real devices in case of increased data density. Thanks to this geotechnical web application; Turkish and English language options have been made available and can be used at the national and international scales simultaneously and in a multi-user manner.
