Abstract (EN)
Ground vibrations are the natural results of blasting process. Ground vibrations induced by blasting can be considered as one of the most important environmental problems in blasting operations. Therefore, many empirical formula and methodologies including analysis of ground vibration effects have been developed. The most common approach proposed for the calculation of the attenuation of particle velocity in ground is scaling of distance. This approach makes it possible to predict peak particle velocity when both the explosive charge and distance vary. This study aims to investigate the effects of blast induced ground vibration for some planned buildings in a near site of a special explosion area. For this purpose, first, the geotechnical charecteristics of area is investigated. Then, the ground vibrations induced by production blasts have been recorded. The peak particle velocity prediction models have been analyzed by FFT frequency values and some damage criteria for the relations of distance from the blasting point and quantity of blast.
