Abstract (EN)
Ziya Pasha's work named 'Harabat' written in three volume is an anthology, in which there are chosen poems from Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Jagatai fields. 'Harabat' is poem anthology gathhered with prestigious samples from Arabic, Persian, Turkish literatures that is the most extensive after Reforms (Tanzimat). The most important side of Harabat is, formed by way of literature history, the 795 couplet long introduction. In that introduction there are worthy opinions and knowledge, by its period, about poetry and Turkish literature. Ziya Pasha exalts Divan (Ottoman) Poets, too, in glowing terms when he phrases evolution in Divan (Ottoman) poetry. But he didn't ever speak of innovation movement seen after 1860s in Tturkish poetry, nor he gave samples of that period in the part of anthology. For this reason, the object of Harabat has been seen as recovering the old poetry and it had been criticise heavily by Namık Kemal. Namık Kemal, in his two works named Tahrîb-i Harâbât (1874) and Ta'kîb (1876), cut up 'Harâbât'. In the first volume of 'Harâbât', along with its introduction there are Turkish, Arabic and Persian odes. In that part twenty two poets' Turkish, thirty eight poets' Persian and thirty seven poets' Arabic odes have taken part. The second volume, apart from ode and mesnevi, is formed from various poems which are in the form of poetry. Turkish and Persian poems are arranged as in the form of "terkîbât, tercîât, tesdîsât, tahmîsât, kıtaât, rubâiyyât, gazeliyyât, ebyât" – composition. The third volume of Harâbât involves samples chosen from mesnevis. In that volume there are samples a total of fifty three works, including seventeen Turkish and thirty six Persian.
