Abstract (EN)
In order to decrease vibration due to the unbalancing of rotating spindles, many kinds of automatic balancing devices have been developed. However, they do not work sufficiently well at high rotational speeds because of the errors arising from the complex mechanisms such as adjusting mechanisms of balancing weight. Most of these errors are caused by the complexity of the mechanisms. In this study, a non-contact type automatic wheel balancer which is operated by photo signals has been designed. It consists of driving mechanisms for balancing weights, actuators, power sources, control circuits and photo transistors. The photo transistors will receive signals from the photo diodes which are mounted on the wheel cover. Thus, the balancing will be conducted under non-contact condition while the grinding wheel rotates. Science code : 626.12.01 Key words : Grinding wheel, Vibration, Automatic balancer, Photo signal
