Zülfü Livaneli: His life, works, and art

This study examines Zülfü Livaneli's life, works, and art. Our study is divided into three main sections. Additionally it includes an introduction, conclusion, references, and appendices. In the introduction, the importance, scope, limitations, original value, research question, aim, and objectives of the topic are stated. The first section provides an overview of the author's life. Livaneli's life is scrutinised under various categories. Topics such as family roots, birth and his subsequent life, his professional career, education, his writing journey, musical career, film work, and political activities are presented under different headings. It has been demonstrated that the author has maintained a political stance since his early youth. His lifestyle, challenges he faced throughout his life, and art have kept the continuity of his political stance vivid. In the second section, the author's novels, novellas, short stories, autobiographies, memoirs, essay collections, and books offering writing lessons are studied. The books are classified by genre. The works are analysed through the lens of literary science. This section also includes observations on perspectives, narrative techniques, time, space, and themes of social realism in his works. In the third section of our thesis, the author's initial experiences that paved the way for writing, as well as evaluations of his language and style are discussed. In the conclusion, the author's works and artistic theory are assessed. In the appendices of our study, there are records of an interview conducted with an official from the Livaneli Foundation, titles of theses written on his works, and awards the author has received in the field of literature.
