Memlükler Döneminde hikmet şiiri: İbnü'l-Verdi Lamiyyesi örneği

The Arabic language is one of the most important Semitic languages, whose medium was popularized, and made its way and adapted to different eras It is the most originality preserved language, spoken by more than 400 million people in the world. Certainly, it is the language of the greatest heavenly book and the language of literature, rhetoric, eloquence and poetry. The Arabic language is famous for its poems, in which poets glorify its beauty and richness, using rhetorical images whose purpose is to influence the addressee to convey what is meant by the poet to the recipient. The most important of these images used by poets in those poems is wisdom, and the poetry of wisdom had a prominent status in the eras of Arabic literature in general and specially the Mamluk era. The purpose of this research to shed light on this era and how many poets emerged in this type of literature, such as Safi al-Din, Alshabu alzarif, Ibn Nabatah, and Ibn al-Wardi. Those poets made poems of wisdom a platform urging people to show good morals and calling to learn loyalty and patience, and many other sermons, as well as trying to answer some of the vague aspects of this era, and proving the truth of what is said about this era, is it an era of decline or an era of science, culture and literature. In order to shed light in a detailed and accurate way, it was necessary to choose one of the poets whose became famous in this field, so the choice fell in this research on Ibn Al-Wardi and his famous lamia, which contains a serious attempt, and a sincere purpose, to show the good morals learned from the source of Sharia. Before entry into the details of the poet, we wrote in the first chapter on the Mamalik and who are they? Where did they come from? And their social life. In the second chapter, we wrote about the sty leof wisdom poetry in the Mamluk era. In the third chapter, we spoke about the poetry of wisdom, its concept, its origins, and its characteristics, and in the fourth chapter, we dealt with the life of the poet, his illiteracy, and the wisdom from it, and the purpose of the poet providing these advices to the recipient, and we ended our study with a conclusion in which we wrote the most important results that we reached, putting points on the letters and analyzing the most important aspects that Ibn al-Wardi touched on in his his poems.
