Syntax, as we all know, is of fundamental importance in the Arabic language, however, dedicating too much time and effort concentrating on the syntax for the sake of accuracy alone has always caused learners to find it a burdensome subject. On the other hand, we all know that the main goal of grammar rules is to make language accurate, and to grant the learner the ability to gain an amount of language competency that makes them able to use the language in various contexts because a language does not live on and continue to exist only with precious books and brilliant ideas written in that language, but rather with people using it as a means to achieve what they want and communicate using that language accurately and properly. That is where our topic in this research comes from, for it seeks to look upon the competency level a learner can achieve of language accuracy and fluency by the means of the syntactic intake, or in other words, to what extent Syntax can grant the learner that language competency. At the beginning of the research, there is a definition of Syntax and language competency and the defining criteria of language competency a learner has at each level. Following this, there is a presentation of the competency criteria and affecting conditions. There is also a practical section where there is analyzation and building on some coursebooks. At that section, the material is presented to take notes and concentrate on the syntactic content, the grammar activities, and the style and method in which each coursebook presents the rule and practices it. In the end, there is a suggested pattern of kinds of interactional and communicational activities, in addition to a suggested conception of sequencing and distribution of the syntactic materials, accompanied with basics that develop the learners' syntactic skills, increase their accuracy and help them improve their language competency
