Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the effects of UV-C, ultrasound and modified atmosphere applications on preservation of 0900 Ziraat and Starks Gold cherry cultivars. In the study, the weight loss in the control groups of the Starks Gold variety was between 2.44% (day 4) and 10.54% (day 16), while the modified atmosphere application was 1.15% on the 4th day and 1.66% on the 16th day. 0900 Ziraat variety, weight loss in the control group 4, 8, 12. and 16. days, respectively, weight loss was recorded as 1.98%, 4.13%, 6.35% and 8.31%, while modified atmosphere application resulted in 0.15% weight loss on the 4th day and 0.42% weight loss at the end of 16th day. The effect of ultrason and UV-C applications on weight loss in both varieties was found insignificant. The loss of post-harvest losses in 0900 Ziraat cherry cultivars increased with time. On the 4th day of the conservation, 8,84% post-harvest losses were recorded in the control group, while it was 9.73%, 19.05% and 11.89% in the 8th, 12th and 16th days of the enclosure. At the same periods, 9.61%, 7.41%, 15.95% and 15.34% losses occurred in MAP application, respectively. On the 16th day of ultrason and UV-C application, 22.11% and 19.93% post-harvest losses were recorded respectively.
