Abstract (EN)
In this study, the electrochemical behaviours of 1-((E/Z)-{[4-(3-Methyl-3-Phenylcyclobutyl)-1,3-Tiazole-2-il]imino}Methyl)-2-Naphtol Schiff base ligand and its complexes in aqueous media were investigated by using cyclic voltammetry, chronocoulometry, chronoamperometry, techniques. Aqueous medium studies were performed in 70 % ethanol ? 30 % water mixtures containing Britton- Robinson buffer, at glassy carbon electrode. The number of electrons transferred in the reduction of the investigated Schiff base and its complexes studied, their diffusion coefficients surface concentrations of the adsorbed molecules were calculated, and the probable electrochemical reduction mechanism were proposed.
