Özet (EN)

In this study, a 1 GeV energy and high current linear proton accelerator has been designed in the framework of the Turkish Accelerator Center (TAC) project. The proton accelerator consisting of DTL, CCDTL and CCL structures, accelerates the ion beam from 3 MeV to 1 GeV. Beam dynamics and cavity design of the accelerator have been done using the simulation codes. In the cavity design, the geometrical parameters have been optimized in order to increase the energy gain of charged beam. For this purpose, it has been targeted that the effective shunt impedance and the transit time factor, fundamental parameters of rf cavity, are maximum. In the beam dynamics simulation, minimum emittance growth has been aimed. The length of the proton accelerator containing 326 focusing quadrupole magnets is totally 385,8 m.
