Özet (EN)
Investigation of The Effect of In-Water and Land Training on Swimming Performance in Children Aged 10-12. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of in-water and land training training on swimming performance of swimming children between the ages of 10-12. A total of 48 swimmers, 24 girls and 24 boys between the ages of 10-12, who have been actively swimming for at least 2 year licence in the clubs in Kayseri Kadir Has Swimming Pool, voluntarily participated in the research. The volunteers were divided into 2 equal groups as experimental group and control group, and it was ensured that there were equal numbers of male and female athletes in both groups. Anthropometric measurements (height length, body weight, body fat percentage and body mass index) of the swimmers were made. Both water and land trainings planned for the experimental and control group (water trainings for the control group, water and land trainings for the experimental group) were applied for 8 weeks. In addition to water training, a movement training (land training) program for multi-skill development was applied for 55-60 minutes 3 days a week in the experimental group. Within the scope of the training program, coordination studies were carried out with the upper and lower extremities for the basic skills of swimming and performance development, while a program was applied for the development of the motoric characteristics of the participants such as strength, speed, endurance and flexibility. Pre-tests and posttests were performed in the experimental and control group. SPSS 22.0 program was used for statistical analysis of the data obtained in the study. Compared the first and last measurements of the swimming performance of the experimental and control boys and girls group. After the training program, a significant increase was observed in the values of 25m and 400m free swimming compared to the values before the training program in order to determine their free swimming, backstroke swimming, breaststroke swimming, butterfly swimming and speed and endurance (p<0.05). When the initial measurements of the swimming performance of the experimental and control boys and girls before starting training were compared, there was no statistical difference between the groups in the free swim, backstroke swim, breaststroke swim and butterfly swimming variables (p>0.05). As a result, it can be stated that multi-skill movement (land) training has a positive effect on motor performance and some parameters in this age group of children.
