Abstract (EN)
Purpose: The purpose is to Analyse in detail, fundamental physical ability learned through activities which are control tested by vision based impairment via blindfolding, against the act of teaching sporting techniques divided into components. Procedures and Resources: All children within ages 10-13 which fail to correctly coordinate and hold posture while dribbling the ball standing, walking, running, etc; passing and receiving against a wall, a target on a wall, a specified basket hoop, etc; will be inducted to the testing (blindfolded) and control (Unrestricted) groups for the project. Twice a week (total of 80 minutes) for 8 weeks both groups will go through the same technical training through the same practice. Evaluations will be based on week 4 mid-tests followed by week 8 final tests. Findings: Upon statistical analysis of the mid and final tests, we find that the dribbling skills fundamentals showed significant improvement in regards to the blindfolded group. Conclusion: Using unorthodox strategies (limiting visual input) is found to be more effective in improving fundamental physical techniques. The testing shows us that the target physical goals that fall within quality and time limits have been achieved allowing for quicker skill acquisition and time saved on training, when the students visual input was limited.
